MAG420 is an evolution of the MAG322 with 4K support
MAG420 is a powerful and cost-effective solution for modern IPTV/OTT projects. The device supports 4K and HEVC. With integrated Dolby Digital™ technology, MAG420 can reproduce six-channel surround sound.
HEVC: quality content with no limits
UHD content has finally become more accessible; even users with low connection speeds can enjoy high-quality movies and TV shows. If you want to view a 4K video at 60 fps (h.264), a 32 Mbps connection is required, but for video with HEVC compression, 15 Mbps is sufficient.
IPTV/OTT operators can run UHD projects based on existing infrastructure, and they’ll also be able to save server resources since files compressed in HEVC take up a lot less space.
The advantages of HEVC aren’t limited to 4K video. Connection speed requirements for viewing content in 480p, HD and Full HD have been cut by fifty percent. You can provide quality content to users with slower internet connections.
HEVC support opens up new streaming opportunities and makes quality content more accessible.
A new level of realistic sound: Dolby Digital
MAG420 supports Dolby Digital technology and provides six-channel surround sound when you’re watching movies, TV shows, concerts or other programming.
MAG420 provides pure cinematic sound when playing linear TV broadcasts, video on demand, and content in local storage.
User-friendly interfaces
Thanks to the RCA and HDMI outputs, MAG420 is compatible with TVs of different generations. The MAG420w1 version has a built-in 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi module: users won’t need cables or additional accessories to connect to the internet. An Ethernet connector is also available.
MAG420 is universal: you can connect almost any modern TV to it.
